Do I have to trim my wick each time I burn my candle?

Yes, if the wick is longer than 1/2 inch than you need to trim the wick before you burn your candle.

Trimming your wicks is very important because it keeps the flame from getting too high and keeps the jar from getting too hot. Also if you don't keep your wicks trimmed to less than 1/2 inch it could cause the candle to soot and make the candle not last as long.

Will my candle release soot?

If you trim the wick to 1/4 to 1/2 inch before each burn, you should have little to no soot.

However we can not promise that all of our candles will be 100% free from soot because that is just the nature of burning something; it doesn’t matter which wax is used when making candles, all candles will produce some sort of soot some are just darker than others and some produce more than others.

Could I return my jar to have another candle made in it?

No, we don’t recommend using the jar for another candle because the heat weakens the glass, making it more likely to shatter.

But you can use the jars for all sorts of things, you could paint them and use them as a flower vase, or you can take them to your nearest recycling facility.

Do you use essential oils in your candles?

No, because some essential oils are highly flammable, and also getting a strong candle with just essential oils is hard.

But a lot of the fragrance oils we use are infused with natural essential oils.

Are your candles considered non-toxic?

Yes, all the fragrance oils we use in all of our products are 100% phthalate-free and free from other carcinogens.

I am allergic to coconut, can I burn your candles?

Honestly, it depends on what kind of allergic reaction you have to coconut. Most people can’t eat coconut or use skincare products that contain coconut; however, we have a few customers that are allergic to coconut say burning our candles doesn’t bother them. So just use your own judgment.

Why won't my candle burn all the way to the bottom?

That is a safety precaution design in wicks to keep the glass from busting because the bottom of the jar gets the hottest. That’s why we always recommend burning your candles on a heat-resistant surface.
